Karl Marc John is above all a family story of passion
2000: Coming from successive generations of crafters, the Mazouz brothers took the family business and created collections for whole sales and multi-brands stores.
2010: The wife of one of the bothers has the idea to create a sweater in cashmere and silk, marked with the names of three great designers. Within a few months, the garment becomes a bestseller with over than 100,000 pieces sold. Motivated by this huge success, one of the brothers decides to launch its own brand and so, in October 2010, Karl Marc John is born. True to the spirit of the original sweater, the brand wishes to create collections with high quality fabric, while remaining approachable. Its goal is to dress different generations, from mother to child.
2011: Next step was to open his own shop. It is in the very chic and very Parisian district of Marais, on Rue Vieille du Temple precisely, that the first shop opens its doors. In the same year, ten other shops will be inaugurated in Paris.
2012: Always looking to create collections more and more full-bodied, the accessories make their arrival. Finally the costumer can compose his dressing with bags, shoes and hats, to accomplish a head-to-toe, accessible and trendy look, dedicated to women and girls (6 to 16 years).
2015: New Challenge! The brand celebrates 5 years and sets out to conquer the little boy’s world, with the new line "KMJ Little Boy", making all mothers, who previously could only dress their daughters, very happy.
2016: The network gets bigger and now the brand counts 75 stores of its own. More than ever, Karl Marc John wants to continue offering easy, chic and urban collections, while remaining loyal to its values: a fresh and colorful wardrobe, with beautiful fabrics, simple and modern cuts, with a special attention to the details and finishing.
